used to be very good. maybe they changed the owner or something. i ordered vermicelli dish and the pork and vermicelli didn't come out hot i had to ask the server to heat them up in the microwave for me. that's terrible!!!! i don't think i would go back
Excellent. Been going there for about 6 years now. Don't recall there every being a change in ownership, although they did expand into the next unit at one point. Best pho in town I'd say.
Sea Food Hot and Sour Soup was all fake seafood. Left an unpleasant after taste. Strange seasoning that did not taste like any hot and sour soup I had ever tasted. The rice roll I ordered was only one on the plate cut in half with no shrimp although on the menu it said shrimp. All it had was a little piece of lettuce and lots of overcooked tasteless noodles. Very disappointing. Would never eat there again and neither would my two dining companions.
I would be interested to know what you ate since I cannot imagine how any restaurant specializing in Asian soup could make a soup they call a seafood hot and sour soup taste like a washed out boiled noodle with some kind of strange taste neither hot or sour with a mixture of strange items floating around supposed to imitate seafood. At first we thought pieces of potato were floating around but when we tasted them they were spongy mush and were told it was some kind of crab . So all in all it was the absolute worst soup I ever tasted in my life.
Please tell me what you ate and how it tasted. The waitress told us that if we ordered the pork to not be surprised if it did not taste like pork. We didn t since we were wondering what they would have substituted. So please tell me what you ate that was so good. Since how can someone make a great meal but make a disgusting soup.
My friends and I had never been there before so didn't t know what to expect but we never expected it to be so bad ... fake seafood ... fake seasoning...overcooked noodles ...could not be any worse and to leave a restaurant with an unpleasant after taste is the worst experience
We were three ladies who dine out a lot. This was our first and last time to dine at this restaurant The Pho Boi on Fort Street. We were handed three menus as we walked in the door and the girl pointed to the side of the dining room. So we trundled off menus in hand to find a table. We were looking at the menu and asking the waitress some questions regarding certain dishes. She pointed out that the pork in the pork dishes did not taste like pork!!!! We were a little skeptical and looking back should have left there and then. But we decided to order the Seafood Hot and Sour Soup. I added the rice roll with shrimp. The one rice roll cut in half arrived with only one sauce .. a watery peanut sauce ... the rice roll had no shrimp in it, only a piece of lettuce and overcooked noodles ... no taste
The hot and sour soup had a very strange taste ... nothing like the hot and sour I have had before... the things floating around the soup were some kind of imitation sea food and of course a lot of overcooked noodles.
None of us will ever go back and we will be telling all our friends and acquaintances how horrible this restaurant is.
